OAR-Jefferson Area Community Corrections Agency is seeking a dynamic Assistant Director to provide leadership, fiscal management and research driven practice for a state and national leader in the field of community corrections. Primary responsibilities will be fiscal management, budgeting and grant writing. Agency operational management and staff development responsibilities will be shared with Executive Director.
A successful candidate should have demonstrated skills in financial management and fiscal reporting, grant writing, and funding development. Evidence based community corrections and/or criminal justice experience needed. Skills, talents and abilities should include community collaboration and networking, staff management, project development and oversight experience including data and performance management. Candidate must have strong communication skills and demonstrated success with diverse populations. Must be able to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with staff, clients and criminal justice/community resource partners.
College degree required. Candidate must have four plus years’ experience in criminal justice, human services, finance or related field. Prior demonstrated experience in grant application, grant management and fiscal reporting (multiple grants or grants in excess of $50,000). Prior staff management experience and knowledge of community resources and best practices are priorities.
