Art Works Now (AWN)’s mission is to create greater access to visual arts education as part of our vision of a more just world. We view access to arts education as a civil rights issue because of the cultural, economic, and racial barriers to creative education so evident in today's social and educational settings. Our work providing access is complemented by our curriculum, which often focuses on social justice issues. It is our belief that the arts transform lives and that art can be a vehicle for change in many ways.
