Donor Engagement Coordinator

T’ruah: The Rabbinic Call for Human Rights is seeking an experienced, organized, and self-motivated Donor Engagement Coordinator to manage key aspects of our donor engagement strategy for $1,000 and up donors and prospects. The position has the opportunity for growth within the organization.

What You’ll Do

The Donor Engagement Coordinator reports to the Director of Individual Giving and has these major responsibilities:

• Plan and implement events focused on $1,000 plus donors and prospects, in support of the major donor moves management program. These include parlor meetings, webinars, trips to “see the work,” gatherings with T’ruah Fellows and alumni, and an annual gala.
• Plan and manage all aspects of the gala including recruitment, logistics, program, inter-departmental collaboration, public relations, and budget and financial goals.
• Follow up with all gala attendees to transition them from transactional one-time donors to ongoing annual donors. 
• Plan and implement events throughout the year aimed at attracting $1,000 plus prospects and deepening the engagement of current donors. Create clear follow up plans and benchmarks to monitor progress. 
• Play an active role as part of the development team to support donor cultivation and strategize new ways to increase revenue. 
• Provide additional support to the Director of Individual Giving as needed.

Who You Are

You are a team player eager to collaborate closely with the other members of T’ruah’s staff. Specifically, you will be or have most or all of the following:

• Three years of nonprofit development experience with demonstrated success in designing and implementing donor events
• Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record of interfacing with major donors, board members, and volunteers
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Impeccable organizational and project management skills, with a keen attentiveness to detail while meeting multiple deadlines
• Enthusiastic, energetic team player able to work independently behind the scenes, juggle multiple tasks, and interact closely with colleagues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proficiency in CRM database usage to track, manage, and analyse related data, Salesforce experience a huge plus
• Alignment and commitment to T’ruah’s mission and vision
• Comfort being supervised remotely at times
• Ability to occasionally work outside regular hours as needed for events

The starting salary for this role is $30,000.
