GOOD+ Foundation is currently seeking a trainer to join the Good+ Training Academy team to provide virtual and/or in-person training (when safe to do so), technical assistance, and facilitate connections to resources in an effort to transform social service systems to help families thrive.

MISSION

GOOD+Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2001 that addresses multi-generational poverty by leveraging the power of “goods” paired with transformational services to help low-income families move toward financial stability.   GOOD+ Foundation makes donations to programs that have demonstrated a capacity to improve family economic security in three areas: supporting new mothers, engaging fathers and early child development.  The Foundation has a team of over 15 full-time staff with an annual operating budget of approximately $2 million in cash and $5M in product.  The organization’s main office is in the Garment District of NYC, with an office in Los Angeles, CA.

OPPORTUNITY

GOOD+ Foundation is currently seeking a trainer to join the Good+ Training Academy team to provide virtual and/or in-person training (when safe to do so), technical assistance, and facilitate connections to resources in an effort to transform social service systems to help families thrive. Resulting from the direct feedback of our grantee and community partners, Good+ has built a training academy and course offerings that have been highly requested, currently absent from the field and deemed essential to addressing barriers and gaps in service delivery.  To introduce the practical application of key systemic change tools and practices, the Good+ Training Academy employs virtual and/or in-person training, provides technical assistance and navigates resource linkages to transform social service systems that have been identified as obstacles to a father inclusive approach of helping families thrive. We believe that providing high-quality training opportunities is essential to breaking down the systemic barriers that prevent the marginalization of many low-income families.

The ideal candidate should be a confident public speaker who is up-to-date on the latest tools and resources needed to provide training using both a trauma-informed lens and a Two-Generation (2Gen) approach that builds a family’s well-being and promotes effective engagement.
