    Description

    ABOUT THIS ROLE

Special Olympics Washington is seeking a strategic, highly organized leader to strengthen our operational infrastructure — and to serve as the internal business manager for our flagship Dream House Raffle. This role sits at the intersection of compliance, revenue performance, vendor management, and organizational systems. You’ll own the raffle operating plan end-to-end while also building the cross-functional systems that help SOWA run with greater consistency and accountability.

    KEY AREAS OF FOCUS

    • Dream House Raffle Own the operating plan, monitor ticket sales and revenue performance, coordinate vendor execution, and ensure WSGC compliance throughout the raffle cycle.
    • Vendor & Contract Management Lead procurement, onboarding, and day-to-day coordination with the external marketing firm, call center, fulfillment vendors, and other operational partners.
    • Compliance & Internal Controls Maintain compliance calendars, separation of duties, audit-ready documentation, and regulatory follow-through — especially with the WA State Gambling Commission.
    • Business Operations Systems Build and maintain SOPs, risk registers, insurance documentation, contract tracking, and cross-functional project management infrastructure.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • 7+ years in nonprofit operations, compliance, regulated fundraising, project management, or related fields
    • Demonstrated ability to manage revenue-generating programs against approved revenue, expense, and net income targets
    • Experience developing operating plans, business plans, or compliance plans — and implementing them
    • Strong vendor management skills: scope development, contract coordination, and performance accountability
    • Clear communicator who can present complex financial and compliance information to executives, board committees, and regulators
    • Experience with internal controls, documentation standards, and separation of duties
    • Comfort with databases, spreadsheets, project management tools, and shared documentation platforms

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • Charitable gaming, enhanced raffle operations, or regulated fundraising campaigns
    • Washington State Gambling Commission or other regulatory body coordination
    • Selecting and managing external marketing agencies, direct mail vendors, or call centers
    • SOPs, compliance calendars, risk registers, and audit-ready documentation systems
    • Insurance renewals, incident escalation, facilities documentation, or board reporting

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

    • Salary: $110,000 – $135,000 annually, commensurate with experience
    • Health insurance and 403(b) retirement plan
    • Generous paid time off • Hybrid work flexibility
    • Professional development opportunities
    • Mission-driven culture centered on inclusion, athlete leadership, and community
