Magic Bus Overview

Founded in 1999, Magic Bus works with some of the world’s poorest children and young people taking them from a childhood full of challenges to a life with meaningful livelihoods. We equip young people with the skills and knowledge they need to move out of poverty. Children on the Magic Bus program complete school and go on to enroll in vocational institutes or colleges. The program teaches and builds life skills, enabling a smoother school to work transition, and concludes with the placing of a young person in salaried work or enabling higher education. Magic Bus programs are delivered by more than 8,000 youth volunteers and reach approximately 400,000 adolescents in 23 states across India.
