CUNY Citizenship Now! provides free, high quality, and confidential immigration law services to help individuals and families on their path to U.S. citizenship. Our attorneys and paralegals offer one-on-one consultations to assess participants’ eligibility for legal benefits and assist them in applying when qualified. In addition to providing consultations and application assistance to the immigrant community at our centers and council member sites, we regularly hold Citizenship Events in all five boroughs to assist members of the community with citizenship and naturalization issues.


Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting the daily maintenance and operations of SharePoint. The Administrator will also be responsible for the development of training materials for end users. The candidate will also recommend updates and enhancements to SharePoint sites along with any related tools and supplemental web parts used throughout the production life cycle.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • First line of day-to-day support for users and other Site Owners below top-level site (subsites).
  • Manage users and permissions – grant, restrict and revoke access as required.
  • Train end users in basic functionality.
  • Liaise with IT regarding the migration of sites when necessary.
  • Create, leverage and manage site columns, lookups and templates for re-use in sites.
  • Ensure uniform navigation throughout sites.
  • Create project / document dashboards.

·        Support end users with all SharePoint related concerns.

·        Develop training materials and provide training to users and onboarding staff on SharePoint design and functionality.

·        Manage and disseminate general SharePoint information to update users.

·        Enhance SharePoint functionality and/or performance.

·        Work with CUNY IT desktop support administrators.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • B.S. Degree
  • Minimum three years SharePoint Administration experience.
  • Demonstrate Project management experience
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • SharePoint Certifications is a plus
