    Description

    Under the supervision of the Outreach Manager, the Outreach Coordinator is responsible for conducting outreach to community residents and maintaining relationships with community-based agencies. The position requires strong interpersonal skills to make connections and build relationships. The Outreach Coordinator develops and implements various strategies to directly engage parents for programming, including tabling, canvassing, and event planning.

    Responsibilities

    • Record all outreach activities in the database.
    • Track and update information through weekly phone calls and in-person visits.
    • Monitor and report progress toward annual targets.
    • Collaborate with the Outreach Manager to design effective outreach strategies tailored to local communities.
    • Plan and lead canvassing and door-to-door outreach efforts; represent the organization at community-based events and engage with community residents.
    • Organize and facilitate workshops and events for community members, partner organizations, and agencies, focusing on recruitment and education.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential referral sources.
    • Collaborate with social workers on joint visits to provide information and educate parents about community services.
    • Conduct weekly outreach to reconnect with parents to ensure they continue receiving community-based services.
    • While the role’s primary hours are weekdays from 9am to 5pm, flexibility for evening or weekend engagements may be required to attend community events.

    Qualifications

    A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required, or equivalent experience in community outreach. Successful Outreach Coordinators are energetic, outgoing, authentic, and comfortable presenting information one-on-one and to a crowd. We seek bilingual candidates (English-Spanish) who are detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, and are experienced with data entry.
