Our Vision

Central Synagogue is a thriving reform congregation in midtown Manhattan, serving 2,500 families and the larger community. We work tirelessly toward a world in which Judaism is central to the lives of Jews everywhere and is a profound and positive force for humanity. We are relentless in our pursuit of that goal, constantly evolving to reach far beyond the walls of our synagogue to learn, worship, serve and continually redefine what it means to be Jewish today. For more information about our organization visit www.centralsynagogue.org.

Early childhood is a magical time of discovery for children and their parents. At Central Synagogue, we provide children and their grown-ups with rich learning and growth experiences that establish them as lifelong learners and celebratory experiences that connect them to the joys of Judaism through an exploration of values, traditions, and rituals.

Central Tots is an integral part of Central Synagogue’s Early Childhood Department dedicated to children from birth to age two who attend classes accompanied by a trusted grown up. Our programs range from drop-in classes for babies to pre-nursery school classes for children turning two. All of our classes, taught by warm and experienced early childhood educators who specialize in infants and toddlers, provide fun-filled experiences for children and an opportunity for grown-ups to learn about early childhood development as part of a community with other parents and caregivers.

 Job Summary/Objective
