The Girls on the Run mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. GOTR uses running as a vehicle for teaching life skills and promoting health and wellness outcomes for 8 to 13-year-old girls. Each season, trained volunteer coaches implement the GOTR 10-week curriculum through twice-weekly sessions that build character and resilience. The season concludes with a celebratory 5K event.
