The Program Coordinator is responsible for the day-to day operations of the program. This position functions primarily electronic and requires proficiency in ‘Windows” and electronic medical record data collection. The Program Coordinator is responsible for providing nutritious foods for PLWHA in order to promote and strengthen their immune system against HIV/AIDS and other infections. The Program Coordinator is responsible for making sure all clients receive: pantry bags, congregate meals, comprehensive nutritional assessments, treatment plans, and individual/group nutritional counseling.
Education and Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Social Work, Public Health, or related field. Experience working in a group setting for clients. Knowledge and experience with the State and local policies of NYC affecting people living with AIDS and the social service agencies that serve them. Excellent communication/engagement/people skills. Ability to work in a team model.
