Description

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director of Development, with a dotted line to the Executive Director, responsible for assisting with fundraising, special events, and the maintenance of the membership program.

Responsibilities

Assist with development, implementation and management of major giving, annual fund, naming and sponsorship opportunities, cultivation and stewardship events, and others as needed.

Manage the donor identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship process, working closely with staff and trustees.

Manage the maintenance of membership and donor databases including data entry, report generation and monitoring of member activity.

Manage the preparation of compelling, interesting, customized proposals, and narrative and financial reports on the results and impact achieved from support for both general operating and program restricted gifts.

Oversee the updating and monitoring prospect trackers and fundraising reports.

Support annual solicitation outreach and tracking of giving and pledges.

Prepare and provide information for Board reports

Oversight of donor acknowledgements, membership billing, mailings, processing of membership identification.

Customer service, including responding to donor and member inquiries.

Serve as an exemplary representative for the Playhouse to donors and members, helping to engage, inspire, build confidence, share impact of support, and maintain ongoing communications and donor records to establish strong, long-term relationships.

Supervise the activities of the Development Coordinator.

Perform other related duties or special projects as directed.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:

5+ years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience and a successful track record in fundraising, events planning, and program management

Preferred Experience:

5+ years’ experience in a non-profit environment. Prior fundraising experience highly desired.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Proven proficiency in networking and interpersonal relationships with donors/members.

Excellent writing, public speaking, strategic thinking and organizational abilities

Demonstrated ability to interact closely with trustees, donors, members, staff and guests at all levels, and represent the institution well.

Ability to take initiative and collaborate with others.

Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to meet pressing deadlines, represent the Playhouse at events and/or meet with donors and prospects.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge of MS Office Suite

Knowledge of Salesforce

Knowledge of Word Press
