Full-time position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for all after school and summer youth development activities. Works virtually and on-site. Create and conduct activities for youth including the Sisterhood program. Develop and implement innovative, cutting-edge programs that meet programmatic goals and support West Side Community House's Mission and vision.

Discover new ways to make learning fun and interactive. Stimulate young minds through teaching methods and program curriculum to improve academics, foster maturity and a healthy sense of self-esteem, and to make them aware of ways they can become an active, caring member of the community.

Work Hours: 40 hours per week, some evenings and weekends, flexibility of schedule required.

Duties include:

·        Schedule and supervise youth services workers (tutors, interns, contract workers, volunteers, summer youth workers, etc.). Evaluate performances in order to build a successful and supportive team.

·        Build strong relationships/connections in the community with local schools, community centers, libraries, recreation centers, places of worship and other community based services to recruit program participants. Help develop marketing materials and update youth web/social media pages.

·        Promote and sustain parent engagement.

·        Track outcome measurements, hold evaluation meetings, conduct surveys and provide information for grant evaluation reports.

·        Promote an interest in literacy and the arts.

·        Create and manage program budgets.

·        Must be willing to work evenings and occasional weekends.

·        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's Degree in Education or Social Work, Master's Degree preferred

·        2-3 years of Education or Social Work experience.

·        1-2 years of experience supervising staff

·        Good written and verbal communication skills.

·        Ability to engage, motivate and relate to youth.

·        High energy, enthusiasm and creativity are a must.

Requirements:

·        Valid Ohio Driver's License in good standing.
