ABOUT THE POSITION: The Housing Navigator is a type of Case Manager at Compass that will maintain a caseload of homeless participants, many of whom will have multiple barriers (i.e. serious mental illness, substance use disorders, chronic health conditions, frequent contact with law enforcement, etc.). The Housing Navigator will engage and develop relationships with participants, and provide support services so that secure, stable, and permeant housing may be achieved. This is a unionized position, represented by Local 8 of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU).
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Peter’s Place is a welcoming space where homeless men and women can find a path out of homelessness. People can seek refuge, meals and basic services as well as connect with case management, entitlements and other benefits, mental health counseling and nursing services. Services are available on a drop-in basis, though guests are asked to register and agree to basic behavioral guidelines. By night, Peter’s Place opens its doors as an overnight shelter for 8 women and 38 men, creating a location for round-the-clock services for homeless men and women in Seattle.

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE #1: Tuesday-Saturday 2-10:30pm, with staff meetings on Thursdays 4:30-5:15pm
SCHEDULE #2: Sunday-Thursday 2-10:30pm, with staff meetings on Thursdays 4:30-5:15pm
SALARY RANGE: $17.73-18.22 per hour (higher for certain master’s degrees)
