The YWCA Seattle|King|Snohomish Community Domestic Violence Advocate provides services to adult women experiencing domestic violence, including advocacy based counseling, safety planning, as well as domestic violence education, community resources, information and referrals. YWCA's DV programs are designed to meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence in the Seattle and the South King County area. Valuing diversity, championing anti-racism policies, and program delivery are the core values of this position. This Community Advocate will work primarily with Hispanic women, African-American women, and women of color.

Bilingual Spanish and English speaking preferred.

This position has a social justice component that requires critical thinking through the lens of racism and intersections with poverty. Knowing the core principals of antiracism and grounding those principles in everyday work are required job skills and core values.   • Hours per week: 40
  • FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
  • Excellent benefits package including medical insurance, retirement plan, plus generous vacation, holiday and sick leave plans
