ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Implement on-site and centralized training in broad range of compliance, safety and service-related issues, including OSHA; Incident Reporting; SCIP (or equivalent); HIPAA and e-HIPAA requirements; First Aid; CPR; Defensive Driving; and other similar topics as needed.
  • Assist with relevant curricula development and develop/provide instruction for Train the Trainer sessions with relevant staff.
  • Consult with program departments regarding available educational resources.
  • Participate in cross-departmental transfer of information and curricula, as directed by function manager.
  • Participate in external trainings to stay current in compliance, safety and service-related information, techniques and requirements.
  • Participate in special training projects as developed.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with prior experience as instructor and instructor certification in mandated agency training courses (e.g., CPR, SCIP, others as applicable) highly desired.
  • Ability to achieve continued recertification as instructor in mandated agency training courses required.
  • Strong oral presentation and written communication skills necessary.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to conduct multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Knowledge and experience working with people with developmental or intellectual disabilities required.
