If you’re ready for the brightest career future, join us in this excellent opportunity to showcase your talents. We are currently seeking an experienced Field Coordinator I for our Workforce Innovative Opportunity department. 


  • Work under the direction of the Workforce Development Consultant II on the development, implementation, evaluation and oversight of workforce development programs and projects to provide career ladder advancement long term care workers at various healthcare worksites
  • Coordinate various aspects of project implementation: promotion, recruitment and logistics. Provide project and Fund information to program participants at the beginning and during the course of training
  • Register education program participants, monitor attendance, collect paperwork related to the project and provide all required forms to the appropriate Training Employment Fund (TEF) staff/departments
  • Participate in writing project reports and documenting project progress and outcomes; comply with Long Term Care Workforce Investment Organization (LTC WIO) grant project requirement
  • Build relationships with key union and management representatives at contributing facilities; to implement training projects supported by union and management; support program development and administration
  • Participate in screening, selection, observation and evaluation of contracted educational providers; to partake in the process to secure competent training/providers and monitor their performance
  • Create pre-obligations and monitor project budget to ensure that project expenses meet the budget
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management
  • Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of experience required in healthcare, education related fields, or labor/management work
  • Minimum three (3) year experience handling workforce development programs, higher education, training, career counseling or labor management programs required
  • Basic skill level in Microsoft Word and Excel required
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills required and project management skills preferred
  • Working knowledge of group facilitation/dynamics, and identifying interests of group
  • Experience within healthcare sector or unions highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership and teamwork skills; able to maintain strong partnerships with Union partners in order to ensure training projects are implemented successfully
  • Good organizational skills, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure, multi-task, establish priorities, and constructive program planning
  • Ability to travel to various locations in the New York City and Upstate NY area
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
