Position Overview:

PAW Team’s Client Services Coordinator supports all aspects of PAW Team’s client services, helping to ensure that individuals can access care efficiently, and that PAW Team maintains a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space for anyone seeking help for their pet.

This includes overseeing intake and eligibility of new clients, explanation of services and/or limitations of care, triage and scheduling of services, and guidance towards additional community resources. The Client Services Coordinator acts as the primary liaison for referring partner organizations and supports PAW Team’s offsite clinic efforts. Additionally, this position assists in our free pet supply bank and oversees and schedules our supply bank volunteers.

This is a full-time (40-hours/week) position, and scheduled hours are primarily Monday through Friday between 8am and 6pm. There is some flexibility for setting a specific weekly schedule, and occasional weekend availability is required.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Ensure that client communication is maintained in a timely manner (includes phone calls and emails).
  • Assist with processing new client intake and renewing eligibility for current clients.
  • Oversee coordination and scheduling of PAW Team’s spay/neuter program and vaccine clinic program.
  • Assist in PAW Team’s supply bank 1-2 days per week, overseeing volunteers and serving clients directly.
  • Schedule and oversee Client Support volunteers through PAW Team’s volunteer software.
  • Primary contact for social service partners seeking care for their clients.
  • Provide support at PAW Team’s onsite and offsite clinics and assisting clients at check-in/out.
  • We are a small team. This position works closely with all team members to align programs, troubleshoot problems, ensure adherence to organizational policies, and support interconnectedness within the organization.

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate for this position has a background/work history in either a social services or veterinary medicine environment but some familiarity with both. Training is available to the right candidate, however, the willingness and capacity to learn basic concepts and terminology related to these fields is required.

For consideration, all candidates must:

  • Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time in a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment.
  • Be comfortable with people and animals in a medical setting.
  • Be comfortable working in an environment and with individuals from diverse backgrounds, occasionally including mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Remain positive and supportive in stressful situations.
  • Exhibit patience, empathy and a consideration for others at all times.

We are seeking a teammate that prioritizes professionalism, fairness, and an open-minded approach to all collaboration. Our team is committed to centering DEI work in all that we do and asks that every staff member brings an awareness of one’s own personal unearned privilege and an interest to continue learning what this means in our community.

Pay and Benefits:

This position’s current pay range is $16-17.50 per hour, depending on experience. PAW Team offers healthcare options through Kaiser health insurance, 9 paid holidays, 80 hours of PTO per year, and an additional 8 hours of paid community time to be used towards social activism, learning, or volunteering.
