OPPORTUNITY

With oversight and direction from the Director of Program Services, the Transitional Day Program Coordinator is responsible for the practical functioning of the program on a daily basis. In this role, you will continually assess and direct a wide range of programmatic issues including recruiting and supervising program staff, planning, developing projects, analyzing administrative workflow, maintaining databases, communicating with staff and residents regarding a range of issues, and managing internal and external program relations. In addition, you will ensure program funds are used according to grant requirements, maintain quality assurance of the files and serve as the contact for partner agencies.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

  • Recruit, hire, and oversee training and orientation of program staff members
  • Assure the implementation of personnel policies
  • Coordinate team schedule
  • Evaluate job performance of counselors and provide weekly individual supervision
  • Monitor team statistics weekly and compile monthly
  • Maintain current referral resources
  • Establish agendas and chair team meetings
  • Participate in creating and adhering to program budget
  • Participate in biweekly Bridge Program Coordinators’ meetings
  • Participate in weekly cross-component meeting
  • Participate in quarterly all staff meeting
  • Supervise the intervention and case-finding activities of the day program
  • Monitor the progress of client assessments
  • Assure the movement of clients from the day program to other appropriate Bridge outside services
  • Provide case consultation as requested by the day program team
  • Serve as liaison/advocate between the project and the community including surrounding neighbors to build partnerships
  • Ensure that all activities, services and programs through Bridge are conducted in a manner that is sensitive to and shows respect for the cultural and ethnic diversity for all Bridge clients

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work required
  • Two years’ experience with young adults and previous experience in one of the following areas: housing search/placement; job development; community relations; recreational counseling
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills
  • A high degree of initiative and independent judgment
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • Valid Licenses as required
  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license required (car not required)
  • Continuous clean driver’s record
