The AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod (ASGCC) is seeking to fill the newly created position of HCV/Harm Reduction Specialist for the Prevention and Screening program based in Hyannis, MA. Job responsibilities include: engaging participants in Narcan training, syringe access programming, and HCV/HIV/STI testing; providing HCV/HIV/STI prevention material to participants; conducting outreach initiatives to encourage program participation; and developing partnerships with various health and human services agencies. Other responsibilities include conducting direct harm reduction counseling and screening sessions, providing referrals to services, connecting participants to care, and data collection. Successful candidates must be able to work with individuals and groups in a professional, non-judgmental manner while maintaining strict confidentiality, and be available to occasionally travel to ASGCC's Falmouth and Provincetown sites. The candidate must be able to maintain databases and produce reports. This is grant-funded position for a period eight months, which based on performance, has the ability to lead to a year-round, full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.
