Spend 3 weeks in the Bay Area helping young people discover how to make a difference in the world!

The Civic Education Project, a leadership and civic engagement program at Northwestern University, is hiring exceptional residential staff for our Summer 2018 Civic Leadership Institute at University of California, Berkeley.

Build an inclusive community with and amongst students, and work collaboratively with passionate colleagues to inspire students to discover their leadership capacity.

Facilitate a vibrant residential activities program to promote community building.

Gain exposure to service-learning curriculum by participating in class activities and service experiences throughout the Bay Area.

Who We Look For CLI residential staff generally possess the following experience and skills:

  • Experience in residential life, camp settings, and/or experiential education
  • Background in youth development and mentoring with high school students
  • Excellent communication & organizational skills
  • Commitment to the mission of CLI and working collaboratively with colleagues

Staff receive a stipend and all meals and housing during the program. Note that all CLI staff positions are residential. See complete position descriptions and hiring details:
