Ø Streetwork is an innovative outreach-counseling program for homeless youth that uses a harm reduction-based client-centered approach to all services. Services include counseling, HIV prevention, case management, concrete drop-in services such as meals and showers, groups, and medical and mental healthcare.
Ø The Director will ensure that all program services adhere to principles of trauma informed care and harm reduction and that services are delivered using a client centered approach. The Director is responsible for all concrete and clinical services in our daytime drop-in center for street homeless youth. The position oversees the LES program services, including: sexual health component, all groups, interventions and HIV screening, our housing and benefits advocacy component, all mental health services, outreach, and syringe exchange and IDU services. The Director manages a complex staff schedule and coordinates all staff development activities of the Streetwork LES Drop-in center.
Ø Essential Job Functions:
Ø Provide weekly supervision to supervisory and direct service staff.
Ø Oversee and manage the supervision of all clinical activities including group and individual counseling.
Ø Develop, supervise and manage all special events
Ø Supervise and manage all sexual health group activities and HIV testing at the Streetwork LES site
Ø Oversee fulfillment of all contract and reporting requirements for Streetwork LES site.
Ø Supervise collaborative hiring process to fill vacancies at Streetwork LES site.
Ø Supervise and Manage complex scheduling for the program to ensure adequate coverage for all in house and outreach services
Ø Support Associate-Vice President with all decisions regarding programs’ personnel.
Ø Co-facilitate all staff training to ensure on-going staff development and skill enhancement.
Ø Support and manage consultative relationships with process facilitators, psychiatrist, medical and legal service providers.
Ø Co-coordinate weekly staff development day at Streetwork LES
Ø Support Associate Vice President with the development and implementation of program policies
Ø Responsible and in-charge of all program activities in absence of Associate Vice President
Ø Network and advocate for homeless services, harm reduction, and youth programs
Ø Participate in Streetwork’s leadership meetings
Ø Provide, as part of rotating responsibility with all supervisors, 24-hour on call support for program staff
Secondary Job Functions
Ø Advocate, on an as needed basis, for clients in support of front-line staff and supervisory efforts
Ø Assume management responsibilities in absence of other supervisory staff
Ø Represent program in the agency, community, media and government in absence of Vice President and Senior Director

Knowledge and Skills:
Ø Clear and concise verbal and written communication skill
Ø Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ø Ability to work independently
Ø Comprehensive management, supervisory and leadership skills
Ø Ability to balance administrative responsibilities, client needs, and staff management
Ø Masters in social work or related field. , LMSW or LCSW preferred. Extensive experience providing program development, supervision and management. 5 years experience or 3 years at Streetwork
Ø Professional experience providing supervision and program development
Ø Three (3) years experience providing supervision
Ø Experience working with the program population
Ø Experience using a harm reduction philosophy in supervisory or direct service positions
Ø Experience providing direct service with at-risk youth
Ø Strong understanding of and ability to navigate social service computer systems
