Established in 1994, St Nicks Alliance’s Youth and Education department strives to transform the lives of more than 6,000 North Brooklyn youth, ages 2-24, each year. Through a wide-range of programs, youth are empowered to successfully advance through the stages of education and into young adulthood with the core competencies to thrive, both emotionally and financially. In partnership with schools, families and community, St. Nick's Alliance’s holistic approach to transformation combines youth development, academic enrichment, health and wellness, arts learning and post-secondary readiness.

Program Overview:

The purpose of Career GPS Center is to support students with all post-secondary and social emotional needs. What that looks like is, assisting students in deciding which path they would like to take after college by building relationships with them, guiding them through their high school journey and exploring options such as college, trade schools and/or certificate-based programs. Career GPS also works on advancing participants' life skills and discussing things such as, budgeting, building a resume and how to obtain employment. With the social emotional aspect of the program we build groups to support our students as well as complete individual counseling. In doing this, we create a strong relationship with the schools we partner with in order to ensure the best support possible to all throughout the school community.
