Program Director

Florence Crittenton Programs of SC is seeking a passionate, skilled individual committed to empowering young women and girls to join our team as Program Director. The Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of our 16-bed residential group home and implementing programs which promote education, health, and the skills necessary to transition into adulthood and independent living.

Requirements for the Position:

Per state regulations, the Program Director must be over 21 years of age; hold a Master’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, special education, counseling and guidance, criminal justice and or related areas in the human services field; and have a minimum of two years management or supervision experience.

As a member of the agency’s leadership team, the Program Director must have extensive experience working with diverse populations and be skilled at leading a cohesive, multidisciplinary team. The director must demonstrate the ability to assess, manage, and address challenging client issues and behaviors. Clinical experience working with pregnant girls or victims of abuse is preferred. Demonstrated experience directing youth and/or self-sufficiency programs is a plus. Qualities of Interest: Team builder, strong work ethic, clinically licensed, self-motivated, solution-focused, and committed to developing a strong community of women. Must maintain a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and an insured, reliable personal vehicle. Must pass an extensive annual background check.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees general program development and operation, including program admissions, client assessments and care plans, staff training, and program quality improvement.
• Leads a cohesive, multidisciplinary team dedicated to reaching a shared mission.
• Establishes and maintains partnerships to support client goals.
• Ensures the facility, grounds, programming and staff meet licensing requirements.
• Administers youth assessments and monitors progress. 
• Upholds a high standard of professional behavior for self and staff.
• Other duties as required.
