Project Title: Paid Social Media Audience Development & Video Distribution for MoveOn


Proposals accepted on a rolling basis until Friday, September 14, 2018


Project Description: MoveOn is increasing its social media operations across a number of social media platforms, primarily Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. As we scale up our operations to cover the various needs of our organization through the 2018 midterm elections, we are in need of a skilled Paid Social Media Audience Development Contractor to 1) execute an optimized paid social media video distribution operation and maximize paid performance of our video content, 2) provide us with reporting that further develops and informs us of actionable data-driven insights, and 3) build a standardized set of audiences for continual and purposeful audience growth.


Request for Proposal: We are looking for a Paid Ads Contractor & Analyst to work alongside MoveOn’s Social team to purposely drive our video content toward specific Facebook audiences we’re looking to grow and reach through the 2018 election season.


Scope of Work:

  • Build custom and targeted audience lists to MoveOn’s desired demographic specifications with a commitment toward maintaining equitable and ethical practices.
  • Place optimized ad buys within budget for maximized performance for video content targeted toward specific demographics, for a variety of campaign objectives.
  • Regularly compile, organize, and report the paid performance data in weekly and monthly intervals.
  • Provide bi-weekly summaries on our paid audience building findings and develop actionable data-driving insights.
  • Meet at least twice a week with the MoveOn Audience Development Director for project briefing and debriefing.


Total Capacity: Candidates or firms should have at availability from mid September to early November, with a possibility of extension. They should also be generally reachable via email during normal working hours of 9-6 p.m. ET (U.S.) and actively online with us for approximately an hour a day for 1-2 days a week at an agreeable time and frequency. Otherwise, work can be completed at any time.


Trial Period: Depending on the agreed upon rate, this project would start with an initial 10 hours in the first week of the contract to ensure team fit and then could be extended for the full proposed duration of time.


Organization Overview:

As a pillar of the current Resistance movement, MoveOn is mobilizing opposition to Trump and the GOP’s toxic agenda, including helping to lead efforts to defend health care, to stop any new U.S. wars, to fight for a Clean Dream Act, and to oppose tax cuts for big corporations and the rich. We are determined to make the 2018 elections a turning point, helping Democrats win the House to create a roadblock to Trump & Republicans’ ability to advance their toxic agenda, while electing new progressive champions who can help lead our country to a better future in races down-ballot across the country.


Budget:

MoveOn will consider all proposals in the range of $5K/month (mid-Sept. to early Nov.).


Proposal Requirements:

Background: Name, title and contact information of primary contact. A brief description of prior paid social media ads and data analysis projects or roles, especially around social media and digital video.


Approach: Generally describe your strategies for executing optimized paid social media ad buying, compiling and tracking data, creating and providing regular performance reports, and working in an all-remote, Slack-centric working environment.


Experience: Proposals should include a description of relevant experience, including paid social media ads management and optimization, data compilation and analysis experience, reporting best practices, and the application of an equity lens in your work.


Schedule and Timeline: Please outline a high-level timeline for your availability, broken down into hours/week for at least six weeks.

 

Cost: Include an estimate for hourly rate and total available hours in your proposal.
