The Role

·       Family Law CASA is seeking a development professional for an exciting opportunity to oversee a major gifts program at Family Law CASA. This person will be responsible for qualifying and managing a portfolio of ~100 donors and driving their engagement with the organization. We are looking for a motivated, self-starter with excellent attention to detail, who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, who is committed to racial equity and is passionate about our mission.  This is a part-time, non-exempt position that reports to our Development Director.

Major Functions:

·       Manage the administration of a core portfolio of 100-125 current and prospective major donors including research, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

·       Use a moves management model to create and implement engagement and solicitation strategies for those in portfolio, utilizing the ED and Development Director as the frontline fundraisers.

·       Leverage engagement opportunities with ED, Development Director and Board members to advance relationships with donors and potential donors.

·       Support meeting scheduling, prepare meeting briefs, create call reports and track all donor data and moves in Sales Force database.

·       Conduct prospect research to inform gift solicitation strategies.

·       Assist in the timely management of donor records to ensure confidentiality, completeness, accuracy of content, and documentation of contacts with organization representatives.

·       Manage board members prospects lists and support ED to engage board in fundraising efforts throughout year.

·       Provide administrative and logistical support for donor meetings and house parties.

·       Participate in FLC staff meetings, development team meetings, and other periodic events such as advocate trainings, lunch and learns, racial equity conversations and our annual breakfast and other events.

Qualifications:

• At least three years of non-profit development experience, experience with major gifts preferred.
• Experience with Sales Force or other fundraising databases.
• Detail oriented, able to learn quickly, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet navigation.
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize and simultaneously maintain multiple projects.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially ability to write thoughtful communications for donors on behalf of senior leadership.
• High level of professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to be flexible, responsive to feedback, and committed to continual learning.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, such as competing deadlines and communicating with key constituents.

Formal Education

Bachelors Degree or any combination of education and experience that qualify a candidate for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range is $24,000-$27,500 annual salary DOE ($48,000-$55,000 is FTE). Generous PTO policy, Simple IRA with 2% of salary contributed, transit card, 11 paid holidays per year and a fun work environment! No Health Benefits due to part time nature of this role.

Location

Our offices are located in Tukwila, WA. This position is a hybrid position with a minimum of 1 day in office required per week.
