About Us:

FAIR Girls (formerly FAIR Fund - www.fairgirls.org) provides intervention and holistic care to survivors of human trafficking who identify as girls or young women. Through prevention education and policy advocacy, FAIR Girls also works to eradicate human trafficking and create brighter outcomes for survivors in the DMV area.


FAIR Girls is looking to fill a part-time Operations Contractor position to assist in the seamless function of the organization’s finances, operational infrastructure and corporate resources. This is a part-time position reporting to the Operations Manager with 20 hours per week with the potential for increased hours and responsibilities (possible conversion to full-time staff pending funding). Incumbent is eligible for partial remote work schedule after probation period ends. Please note that this is a 1099 contractor position and does not offer benefits.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Work closely with and under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager to execute the following activities:

  • Gather and organize supporting financial documentation, track accounts payables and pay bills
  • Together with the Operations Manager, review, approve, and process expense reimbursement requests
  • Manage the engagement of vendors, consultants, independent contractors, and other third parties (e.g., accountants, attorneys, auditors) as needed to further the operations of FAIR Girls
  • Coordinate requests with Facilities and external vendors regarding maintenance of equipment and assets
  • Manage day-to-day compliance with federal, state, and local laws applicable to FAIR Girls, including but not limited to, the submission of annual state and local filings, lobbying reports, and registrations
  • Assist Operations Manager with payroll and other human resources-related activities
  • Organize and maintain HR files and corporate records


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, Social Studies, or a relevant field
  • 3-4 years of experience managing projects and programs in non-profit industry
  • Ability to work with remote teams and manage multiple demands simultaneously
  • Tech savvy and skilled in Microsoft Office software, Google suite and experience troubleshooting applications
  • Dependable and takes initiative to resolve issues as they arise
  • Flexibility to meet fluid and changing business demands
  • Background in human trafficking, gender based violence, or similar field (preferred)


Compensation:

$25/hour
