POSITION SUMMARY

The HR Coordinator will perform a wide variety of administrative duties across all areas of Human Resources. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring positive interactions with existing employees throughout the organization as well as new hires. The HR Coordinator will ensure all administrative duties are completed efficiently, accurately and confidentially.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate schedule for Chief Human Resources Officer, as well as applicant interviews with respective hiring managers.
  • Manage the on-boarding of all new per diem hires including the drafting of pay notices, offer letters, production of welcome packs, monitoring of background checks and the completion of I-9 checks.
  • Complete employment verifications for current and former employees.
  • Create weekly HR agendas for departmental meetings.
  • Responsible for HR administration for all regular and per diem employees including, HR/Payroll data entry, and the processing employee information.
  • Maintain personnel files in an organized manner and complete the timely archival process consistently.
  • Manages general administrative duties including ordering of office supplies, booking meeting rooms and processing of all departmental invoices and expense reports.
  • Instrumental in organizing employee recognition events.
  • Perform other related duties as requested or assigned.


EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources, or equivalent
  • Experience with HR information Systems, Paylocity and ICIMS preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated aptitude to exercise discretion, tact, sound judgement and decision-making, particularly with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with staff at all levels of the organization and proven capability to create and foster strong relationships with candidates, employees, and all stakeholders.
  • Exceptional social skills, sensitivity, and acumen to “read the room” and respond accordingly.
  • The successful candidate is an emotionally intelligent initiative taker with a strong work ethic and sincere desire to help others.


WORK HOURS AND ENVIRONMENT

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM.

This position is approved to utilize a hybrid working model which is subject to change in the future.
