The MASTERPIECE Digital team is responsible for extending the brand to meet and engage new generations of our audience. Via the website, email, and short-form video, MASTERPIECE’s Digital staff is building new audiences across a variety of emerging platforms.
The MASTERPIECE Digital team is in search of an enthusiastic, responsible Digital Production Coordinator to maintain the daily operation and function of our website and email platforms, among others.
The Digital Production Coordinator is primarily responsible for the full process of publishing content on the MASTERPIECE and PBS websites, as well as on other platforms as assigned. This includes: repurposing/writing content under the supervision of senior Digital staff, regular video other content entry into distinct content management systems, and ongoing updates to website pages. Data-driven decisions are at the heart of our digital operation, so an understanding and proficiency with analytics is necessary for the position.
This role supports the day-to-day operation of the MASTERPIECE Digital team, including calendar creation/maintenance, support of our extensive short-form video activities, production workflow and issue/project tracking, etc. The Digital Production Coordinator interacts regularly with MASTERPIECE’s Social Media and production teams, as well as with Digital designers, projects managers, etc. The Digital Production Coordinator is organized, able to juggle the logistics of a variety of projects, and work effectively with an array of personality types.
The Digital Production Coordinator is actively involved in key digital communications including writing/creating/sending regular outgoing email newsletters, and reading/responding to incoming audience emails. This requires regularly monitoring email analytics, understanding email industry trends, and ensuring that outgoing emails are as impactful and effective as possible.
MASTERPIECE is a creative and collaborative environment. The Digital Production Coordinator will be expected to be an active participant in regular team brainstorming meetings, thinking about content opportunities for the digital space and other platforms.
50% Enter and publish video and text content in multiple content management systems. This involves: repurposing/writing content under supervision, compiling related assets, launching and then subsequently managing an array of website pages.
15% Create/send regular outgoing email newsletters to the audience; read and respond to incoming email from our audience feedback accounts.
15% Day-to-day operation and support for the Digital team. This includes: calendar creation and management, production workflow and bug tracking.
10% Brainstorming digital content ideas for upcoming shows
10% Other duties as assigned
2+ years in a professional digital setting (media/entertainment environment preferred)
Facility with the entire digital publishing process and working with different content management systems; affinity for working with technology
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience/knowledge of short-form video editorial and trends for a digital/social audience
Experience with/interest in email marketing
Keen brainstorming/idea generation abilities for new digital features and products
Creative thinker and problem solver; keenly aware of digital/social media trends and practices
