We are pleased to announce the expansion of our development team to include a Development Coordinator, Programs. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished development professional with education and experience in social work or related field with a passion for nonprofit capacity building and development. In addition to having delivered program excellence, they will be able to demonstrate development success in grant writing, management, compliance and reporting, program experience with volunteer and master’s-level internship program development and supervision, and excellent communication skills and ability to promote the agency’s programs and services to increase community and funder engagement and support. This is a development position that is program-centric with blended responsibilities drawing upon both social work education/experience and development experience and success.

The Development Coordinator, Programs will lead key development, communications and program initiatives for Wynona’s House and is a member of the senior management team. This role will bridge and leverage key program efforts to build and sustain strong corporate, foundation and government support for programs, services, and operations. This includes grant development, writing, management, implementation, financial tracking, goal achievement, reporting and compliance. Other organizational development responsibilities will include leading the volunteer program and Family Advocate Volunteer Initiative (FAVI) to help build a passionate base of Wynona’s House champions and supporters; lead the development of Wynona’s House’ training curriculum(s) and standards compliance, including but not limited to overall staff development and the development and production of the annual conference. This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required. A master’s degree or MSW is preferred, with several years’ related experience including development, communications and child advocacy or social work is required, and previous experience working with local community service providers, funders and other stakeholders. Candidate must have at least 5 years’ related experience required. Bi-lingual and culturally competent candidates are a plus. English/Spanish preferred and other languages highly valued.
