Casa Mutua, located on East 102nd Street, is our 54-unit permanent supportive housing residence for formerly homeless single adults with histories of mental illness and substance abuse. We are seeking a Clinical Coordinator to join our team to promote the independence and stability of our tenants by providing comprehensive supportive services.

Responsibilities:

·      Provide direct therapeutic supportive services to tenants including assessment, counseling, case management, advocacy for entitlements and services, group work and referrals to resources including psychiatric and medical care, civil legal services, substance abuse services and others;

·      Provide person-centered services to assigned tenants, many of whom have been diagnosed with Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia and Anxiety. Coordinate psychiatric, medical and substance use services as needed;

·      Participate in a teamwork approach and work cooperatively with staff at all levels at Casa Mutua and throughout Lenox Hill Neighborhood House to ensure quality service provision;

·      Complete comprehensive assessments including psychosocials and service plans, participate in case conferences and staff meetings, provide crisis intervention, problem-solving and conflict resolution to resolve tenant issues and conflicts, and facilitate group activities including monthly parties, meals and groups.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Clinical Coordinator must possess excellent interpersonal, engagement and relationship building skills to work effectively with the tenants. A social justice perspective combined with a commitment to the well-being of mentally ill and homeless populations is required. Experience working with mental illness, substance use and trauma-informed care and treatment are essential. Experience working in a residential environment a plus. The candidate must be detail-oriented and have excellent communication, technology and organizational abilities. The Clinical Coordinator must be willing to work a full-time, Sunday through Thursday schedule or Tuesday through Saturday schedule. Master’s in Social Work, Counseling or related field required. Applicable Licensure and/or SIFI Certification if applicable a plus.
