Description

Overall responsibility

Develop and deliver ODIM’s Community Health and Education Programs in the communities of San Juan and San Pablo La Laguna at Lake Atitlan, Guatemala combining local knowledge and international expertise.

This role currently involves managing 5 community programs that reach over 250 individuals and which address the following:

Maternal and Child Nutrition

Diabetes

Scholarships for education

Teen education about pregnancy, sexuality, and family planning.

Home access to clean water, safe stoves etc


Specific responsibilities:

•Manage a team of 20 full and part time Program Staff

•Design, supervise and deliver community programs at International Standard

 

•Develop budgets and monitor expenditure in conjunction with finance team and the Executive Director.

•Manage and develop data systems for program monitoring & evaluation.

•Innovate and respond to the local health and education needs of the local community, 


Requirements:

•High School Education

•University Degree in Public Health or similar preferred

One year of experience in a similar role

Team Management experience

Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)

Skills:

•In depth understanding of Public Health Challenges and Solutions

•Ability to design and manage data management systems

•Capable of managing a large team

•Research and reporting skills


About the work:

•Based in the organization’s buildings in San Juan and San Pablo La Laguna.

Monday to Friday, and occasional weekends when needed.
