Qualifications:

Knowledge of fair housing issues, planning, community development and/or related fields. Ability to relate to individuals and families who are from a variety of backgrounds. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong commitment to Fair Housing, social justice and/or inclusion. Must be highly proficient in the use of common office technology, internet research, video conferencing, and social media platforms. Three years or equivalent experience in the housing, planning, community development, social justice and/ or related fields.  Must maintain a valid driver’s license and car insurance or have reliable transportation.


Duties and Responsibilities:

1.   At the direction of the Executive Director, conducts research and analysis of public and private sector housing activities and their impact on housing access in the Greater Cincinnati area. Regularly submits reports.

2.   Assist Executive Director in strengthening strategic relationships that advance equitable housing policy.

3.   Review local media and other data sources on housing and community development issues. Helps identify emerging housing trends.

4.   Work with the fair housing enforcement team in the research and development of systemic housing investigations.

5.   Assist with content development: brochures, correspondence, website/social media updates, press releases and other internal and external communication.

6.   Regularly attend the following meetings:

a.   HOME Staff meetings

b.   Housing Industry and service networking meetings

c.   Regularly scheduled training as necessary, including, but not limited to:

           1). National Fair Housing Trainings

           2). State and Regional Housing Trainings

7.   Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



Compensation:             High 40s to low 50s with benefits package

Hours:                             37.5 hours per week, flexible schedule

Status:                             Exempt

Supervises:                    Non-supervisory

Supervised by:              Executive Director
