Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Statewide Education role is to lead and advance CRC’s in-person and virtual
education programming in the Front Range and Rural Colorado including program management & supervision, education design and fund development & administration. This position reports to the Chief Program Officer and works with the Senior Program Director and Director of Civic Engagement. This position supervises 1-2 Regional Event Coordinators and an AmeriCorps VISTA member.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Education Design & Delivery
● Train and facilitate engaging, inclusive, and accessible offerings in Rural Colorado and the Front Range
● Create and revise training content and facilitation guides on various topics related to nonprofit
management
● Revise and maintain CRC resources and tools, including the Start up for Success Guide and nonprofit
resource website
● Develop and oversee custom education projects with contract partners
● Support the development guides and curriculum for CRC’s full program portfolio
● Ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion are integrated into the design and delivery of CRC education
offerings
● Oversee and advance the evaluation of statewide nonprofit management education programming
● Partner with the Senior Program Director of the Rural Action Network in support of Regional Leadership
Committees through facilitation, development of education plans, execution of RLC-led events and
training, and development of meaningful offerings for Rural Philanthropy Days conferences
Program Management & Supervision
● Direct and design CRC’s annual statewide education program offerings
● Partner with other organizations on the creation of cross-sector events, research projects, and
collaborative efforts
● Support CRC partners with resources on nonprofit startup, management practices, and other
information
● Ensure excellent customer service
● Manage event coordination, and logistical event support for both in person, virtual and hybrid offerings
● Identify and cultivate relationships with contract facilitators, consultants, and education partners
● Manage workflow of projects
● Oversee and support the creation of marketing and outreach communications
● Supervise the work of contract trainers and consultants
● Manage and lead a team staff and VISTA members
Fund Development & Administration
● Develop scopes of work and other proposals for custom projects
● Cultivate new and steward existing partners and funders across the state
● Participate in cultivation, asks, and stewardship of funders, and contribute to grant applications and
reports, sponsorship requests, and other funding materials
● Develop fee for service policies, rates, and revenue standards for the education program
● Engage with program funders for regular updates, monthly and quarterly progress tracking, reporting on
outcomes, and maintaining compliance
● Collaborate on annual program budget development & maintenance.
● Assist in forecasting and efforts to achieve budget goals
● Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financials, provide feedback on accuracy
● Submit monthly board report and weekly activity report to CEO
● Contribute to program team planning, internal meeting facilitation
● Maintain appropriate communication with CRC staff and board members

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
● Ability to pass a CNCS criminal background check
● Proof of COVID 19 Vaccination with Booster or Proof of Qualifying Exemption
● Work remote with Internet service and a reasonable remote work space
● Colorado Residency
● Provide proof of legal ability to work in the United State of America
● Access to reliable transportation to get to and from nonprofit organizations in the Front Range
● Valid driver’s license and proof of current auto insurance
WORK LOCATION AND ENVIRONMENT
● Associated travel is approximately 30% within the front range and rural Colorado
● Hybrid of remote work and in person
● Work locations associated with travel and a hybrid of CRC Denver office & remote work
● Administrative tasks will require work in a home office setting (sitting or standing)
● Working on the computer for multiple hours at a time
● Attend in person events and meetings
● Wearing a mask when required by CRC policies
● Bending, twisting, and lifting associated with event site setup
● Ability make presentations to small and large groups
● Flexible scheduling due to events and travel
● Capacity to work in a fast paced, fluid and changing environment
Required Experience & Skills:
● 5+ years experience with nonprofit management
● 5+ years experience with adult education, training, and/or public speaking
● 5+ years experience with supervision
● 3+ years experience with fund development
● Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion
● Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment and decision making
● Experience leading remote projects and teams
● Flexibility, and capacity to work in a fluid, changing work environment
● Related Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Proficient with Google Suite, Zoom, MS 365 Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
● Professional Proficiency in English & Spanish
Annual Salary Pay Range: $58,000-$62,000
