Description

Solar United Neighbors of DC, a non-profit that is helping low- and moderate-income homeowners use solar to lower their electric bills, is seeking paid part and full time canvassers for an ambitious 3 month door-knocking initiative starting ASAP. This is a TEMPORARY position.


Duties will include knocking on targeted neighborhood doors, securing new applicants or potential applicants for the co-op model, organizing neighborhood meetings, entering data accurately, and meeting weekly/longer-term goals.

No experience necessary, but canvassers must have the following qualifications:

  • Access to a vehicle and a valid license
  • Flexibility (late afternoon and weekend work may be required)
  • Scrappy, resilient attitude
  • Friendly, engaging demeanor
  • Ability to condense complex topics in accessible terms
  • High energy
  • High integrity
  • Good sense of humor
