Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is a dynamic nonprofit that works to improve maternal and child health and wellbeing through the collaborative efforts of individuals, families, providers and communities.
MCC seeks two self-motivated individuals to fill the Advocate positions for a new program, Healthy Babies. This program will work with babies and caregivers, during NICU stays for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) due to fetal exposure to opioids or other substances, and after hospital discharge. Will be proving support to Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks and/or parts of Delaware County, requiring significant local travel. Qualified candidates will have experience living in Philadelphia communities served by MCC programs; knowledge and experience of substance use; knowledge of maternal child health or other community health issues; experience providing services in a community setting; and excellent communication skills. An Associate’s degree is required. A Bachelor’s degree in social work or a closely related field is strongly preferred. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
