Sponsorship Coordinator

Through a highly individualised holistic approach we strive to empower young people with the skills and confidence to be successful in their chosen careers. 

EFTC is looking for a highly motivated individual who believes in our mission and ethos. The successful candidate would oversee all of EFTC’s Sponsor communications, ensuring there is a coordinated flow of information. Sponsors are responsible for a large portion of EFTC’s income; this being an important and reliable source, so retention and communication is paramount to the foundation. 

The Coordinator will be responsible for the overall running of the Sponsorship programme, maximising and enhancing the Sponsor’s experience and will report directly to the Development Coordinator.

The role includes communicating and interacting with existing Sponsors and encouraging them to grow their engagement through fundraisers / campaigns / visiting  the school, etc.. The Coordinator should also coordinate campaigns and outreach to attract new sponsors.

Liaising with the EFTC UK & EFTC USA is essential to providing the best experience and communication to Sponsors. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact prospective sponsors regarding the possibility of becoming an EFTC sponsor and provide all necessary details.
• Coordinate the bi-annual letter writing and photo project for children and scholarship students.
• Maintain Official Student and Sponsor Lists up-to-date and accurate at all times.
• Liaise with the Sponsorship Coordinator in the UK to ensure that communication with sponsors and donors is clear, effective and personalised.
• Respond to any sponsor enquiries in a timely manner, in line with the Child Protection Policy.
• Oversee all communications between sponsors and sponsor students.
• Oversee the delivery of gifts and food hampers for students sent by sponsors.
• Coordinate and supervise visits of Sponsors to the School of Hope.
• Develop fundraising and informative materials for prospective supporters.
• Encourage visitors and volunteers in Guatemala to become sponsors.
• Liaise with UK and USA fundraising offices on sponsor activities.
• Translation of material to support fundraising and sponsor programmes.
• Facilitate meetings and workshops with Teachers and Admin staff to develop project plans, address emerging issues and/or discuss the importance of sponsors and donors for EFTC.
• Develop plans and projects to enhance the Sponsorship programme regularly.
• Ensure that all Sponsorship related policies and procedures are up to date and complied with at all times.
• Produce regular updates on programme development with key figures that demonstrate progress.
• Promote the EFTC mission, vision and core value at all times!
