The Directors Guild of America (DGA), a labor union representing film and television directors and their teams, has an opening in its New York office for an Office and Technical Support Assistant/Coordinator. This position requires a high level of organization and attention to detail, technological savvy, and personal responsibility. This position currently involves both on-site and remote work due to the pandemic, but will eventually be full-time on-site in midtown Manhattan.

This role serves as an “on the ground” point of contact for technology issues within the office and liaises with our technology specialists in our LA headquarters to maintain office technology and resolve issues as needed. Responsibilities include setting up and installing devices, managing phone systems, and troubleshooting individual issues.

The position provides administrative and technological support to the many meetings, special events, and other gatherings which the DGA regularly holds for its members and staff. While operations continue to be remote, these meetings are being held virtually, so familiarity with the Zoom platform is required. Meetings and special events may fall outside of normal business hours and on the weekends.

Additional responsibilities include working with vendors and handling invoices and bills, supporting internal processes such as expense reports, and maintaining office supplies and incoming mail. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, is required.
