Digital Marketing Specialist

Position Summary

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will oversee and execute IOCDF social media management, measurement, growth, and innovation strategy, working directly with the Marketing and Communications Manager. You will be responsible for pulling and reviewing analytics to determine the success and direction of social campaigns. Importantly, you will keep up-to-date on best practices and trends, bring fresh ideas to the table, and commit to deeply getting to know our community and connect with them in a timely way that turns them into brand advocates.

This position also oversees the IOCDF’s virtual livestream program, which airs regularly on our YouTube and Facebook platforms. This front-facing program is intended to grow the organization’s reach and engagement of our audience. This will involve scheduling and participating in planning meetings, performing panelist outreach and coordination of all speakers and events, and identifying ways to use content in other forms. Opportunities for professional development are encouraged and available.

Finally, as the IOCDF continues to expand our diversity initiative, candidates who have a track record of expanding and engaging diverse audiences will be prioritized. Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred, but not required.

Qualifications to Perform the Job

  • 2+ years experience in a social media marketing role
  • Understands social media metrics and is able to articulate and draw actionable insights from data
  • Basic photography and videography skills
  • Experience with photo and video editing tools and digital media formats (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Experience copywriting for social media
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and negotiate competing priorities
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Experience with engaging and expanding diverse audiences highly preferred
  • Spanish language proficiency highly preferred
  • Experience with Sprout Social (or comparable platforms) preferred but not required
  • Experience with Wordpress (with knowledge of HTML & CSS) preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Social Media Content, Marketing and Tracking

  • Create platform-specific content including text posts, videos, and graphics
  • Curate a social media calendar that balances promotion with engaging, relevant content
  • Grow and sustain followers and engagement across all platforms
  • Active and strategic outreach to diverse communities as part of our DEI
  • Build relationships by responding to messages, comments, and inquiries
  • Track and report on social media analytics
  • Maintain a consistent brand identity across all social channels
  • Stay current with platform changes and trends
  • Identify opportunities by keeping up-to-date on mental health news and trends
  • Participate in regular SWOT analysis

Virtual Program Oversight

  • Manage virtual programming planning meetings and maintain schedule
  • Perform outreach to panelists and moderators
  • Create promotional graphics and schedule promotional social media posts in line with the communications calendar
  • Produce live streams, sharing resources with the community and providing behind-the-scenes support
  • Track metrics and analyze success of virtual livestream content

Communications Responsibilities

  • Assist in creation and updating of web content
  • Aid in creation of graphics outside of social media

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
