Description

We are seeking a US Philanthropic Advisor to join our team. We are an international 501 (c) 3 charity that is focused on wildlife conservation, communities and a one health model in Sub-Saharan Africa. We are registered in the US, UK and Zimbabwe as non-profit charitable organizations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage donors and drive philanthropic initiatives. This role requires a strong background in fundraising, research, and strategic planning.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute fundraising strategies and manage the US Development Committee

-Being the US point of contact for donors, supports and prospects to speak to and responding to all requests, correspondence and/or queries in a timely and efficient manner.

- Conduct research on potential donors and funding opportunities

- Prepare and present case appeal proposals to secure funding for projects

- Manage databases to track donor information and contributions

- Assist overseas Communications and Media team with Links for segmenting database on appeals, Newsletters, and campaigns.

- Developing and managing Giving Tuesday Campaign

- Utilize email marketing campaigns to engage donors

- Basic donor administration (thank you letters, follow up e-mails, calls, direct mail)

Experience:

- Proficiency in Constant Contact, and Donor Management Database systems

- Strong background in fundraising techniques

- Excellent research skills to identify potential donors and market trends

- Experience in case appeal writing for fundraising initiatives

- Familiarity with tech for advancing marketing strategy (MailChimp, ChatGPT, Social Media Platforms)

- Ability to manage basic budget

- Knowledge of email marketing strategies for donor engagement

- Strategic planning skills to drive philanthropic initiatives

- Experience in event planning for fundraising events

- Any knowledge of Landscape level wildlife and conservation also a benefit
