Our Democracy is at risk. It is urgent to engage young Americans in elections in order to sustain our democracy and preserve our fundamental values. Recently, young Americans have been raising their voices around such issues as climate, reproductive rights, and gun rights to name a few. But they need to feel empowered to effect change, through civic action and voting.

 The Civic Life Project’s Democracy 2020 Youth Film Challenge was created to harness this clear desire for change among young people. It offers a platform through which they can give voice to their issues and call their peers to action at the voting booth. There is no better time for this than during the 2020 campaign.
