Senior Specialist, Fundraising (Affiliate Tithe)

Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking an enthusiastic team member to fill the role of Senior Specialist, Affiliate Tithe. This is an exciting position that works with a small, dedicated team on increasing revenue for Habitat’s international work through excellent donor stewardship and coordination of virtual events. This team facilitates more than $14M of funding for Habitat's international work!

About Affiliate Tithe:

The tithe is a foundational principle of Habitat for Humanity, based on our biblical roots as an ecumenical Christian ministry and the recognition that our blessings flow from God. Through tithing, Habitat’s US affiliates participate fully in building our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. One hundred percent tithes are sent abroad, where it can build homes to house orphans and vulnerable groups in Bangladesh, provide safe drinking water for families in Ethiopia, revitalize informal neighborhoods in Haiti, or help Habitat’s mission in many other ways.

This position is located preferably in Atlanta, GA, but other US locations may be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Increase revenue for Habitat for Humanity national organizations with special focus on aligning affiliate tithe with strategic priorities. This includes cultivation and stewardship of a portfolio of approximately 100 Habitat for Humanity affiliate donors.
  • Coordinate events fostering national and international relationships. Prepare materials, manage communications, develop timeline and ensure events are on track.
  • Facilitate and produce virtual events. Prepare in advance and manage technology components to ensure virtual productions run smoothly. Facilitate virtual experiences. 
  • Coordinate tithe data management and reporting.
  • Monitor all data systems connected to tithe revenue and stewardship to ensure accurate donor records and reporting.
  • Run tithe reports, working with various internal departments to create new reports as needed.
  • Work with Affiliate Support Center to ensure excellent customer service for affiliate donors.


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of related experience in donor stewardship and/or project management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex and sensitive relationships.
  • Strong project management experience with a track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Experience and proficiency with virtual facilitation and presentation, including hosting event with 40+ attendees.
  • Experience and ability to use video conferencing platforms such as MS Teams.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Data management and reporting skills.

  • Prior experience working with Habitat for Humanity strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce platform.
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Experience working within global and US federated organizations.
