The Boston Bar Association (BBA) is seeking a Programs Assistant to support the educational programs, trainings, and networking events. This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, mission-driven organization that promotes the legal education, public policy, networking and public service initiatives of Greater Boston’s legal community.
The Program Assistant will provide support to attorney volunteer groups planning programming focused around law practice areas and other professional interests. The position will be responsible for coordinating program logistics, including scheduling, marketing, material distribution, and A/V resources. Extraordinary attention to detail is essential to this position’s success.
While this is an entry-level position with a wide range of administrative duties, an intelligent and motivated self-starter will have many opportunities to take on challenging assignments and grow professionally.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, organizational and project management skills; exceptional writing skills; the ability to manage multiple projects independently; and strong communication and interpersonal skills to serve as a liaison between volunteer leadership and staff. A college degree and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) are required. Knowledge of ADOBE suite software is preferred.
