This position is created for a go-getter who isn’t afraid to jump in and support a variety of tasks varying in complexity across multiple functions within the organization.  

 

Snapshot of responsibilities  

As the Accounting and Operations Specialist, you are responsible for working with the Director of Finance and Director of Operations in a cross functional position supporting Finance, Operations, and general administration within the Corporate Office. This position will be primarily focused and seated within the Finance Department. As a key member of the Finance Team this person will have interactions with leadership and staff members throughout the organization as well as external vendors and customers. 

  • Responsible for all of accounts payable and vendor management functions (roughly 60%)  
  • Support the Finance and Accounting department and related functions (roughly 10%)  
  • Support the Operations Department and related functions (roughly 25%)  
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Corporate office (roughly 5%)  

What we are hoping to see from you  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in experience preferred  
  • 5 years of accounts payable or accounting experience required  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer literacy required   
  • Experience working at a Property Management company a plus, but not required  
  • Experience working with senior managers a plus 
  • Property management experience and/or Appfoloio experience is a plus but not required 


The work environment /individual capabilities  

Majority of work is completed in a general office environment with exposure to moderate levels of noise in a well-lit, well-ventilated, environment; continuously required to read a computer screen. Travel is required 10% or less but will vary depending on future expansion projects. Under current restrictions and COVID-19 guidelines, masks are required when working onsite. Site visits, meetings, and in-office staff normally working inside the corporate office have been reduced to provide safe working conditions for those required to be working onsite. This position is not currently remote, and the work primarily conducted from the Corporate office.

  • A monthly cell phone stipend  
  • 15 days paid vacation time  
  • Free parking on-site (if available) or $100 Alternate Transportation stipend for public transportation, walking or biking to work
