Restorative Response Baltimore (RRB) is looking for a full-time Operations and Grants Coordinator to join its team! The Operations and Grants Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating development and fundraising activities from proposal to reporting and communicating deadlines and activities related to development across executive, program, communications, and administrative departments.  This position reports to the Operations Director and also provides support for RRB’s administrative and finance functions. The ideal candidate is an independent, dynamic, and passionate self-motivator with exceptional organization and communication skills; has strong work experience in the responsibilities outlined below; and a passionate commitment to social and racial justice.  

 

Restorative Response Baltimore is a conflict resolution and community building organization that provides ways for people to collectively and effectively prevent and resolve conflicts and incidents ranging from bullying to auto theft to assault. We strive to assist communities in working together to resolve conflicts by building connections and communicating with one another.  We focus on keeping kids in school and out of the justice system.

 


Operations and Grants Coordinator Responsibilities Include:

 

Development

 

  • Work with key program officers and administrative personnel at our funders to manage their grants and ensure spending, budget and narrative requirements reconcile.
  • Ability to work on deadline, adapt to changing priorities and multi-task between different projects as needed. Research and identify new institutional funders and track all information, communications, and actions.
  • Play key role in financial reporting of grants to management and board as required. Ensure timely, well-executed grant reporting to funding partners, act as a liaison between RRB and funder. Establish and maintain relationships with funding sources while stewarding them appropriately - including timely acknowledgement letters and expression of gratitude.
  • Establish a grants management system for tracking, reporting on, and requesting additional funds as required by the grantor.
  • Ensure accurate recording of grant expenses. Work with Operations Director towards audit preparation, process and compliance.
  • Work with program colleagues to develop grant budgets and write proposals that match needs with appropriate funding sources. Coordinate content and deadlines across teams. Build and maintain internal relationships. Write LOI based on assimilation of organization need and an overall goal of diversifying and increasing funding sources.
  • Manage grantor compliance, meeting all funder requirements. Represent the voice of the RRB in all verbal and written correspondence. Build and maintain external relationships.

Administrative

  • Support the Operations Director with processing accounts payable and receivable. Tracking receipt collection and reimbursement processing.
  • Provide support with office functions such as: mail processing, managing supply orders, travel arrangements, logistical support.

 

The position will also include other tasks in these areas, as needed.

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar or commensurate role including a background in grant reporting.

·       Strong background working in communities with young people, families, and organizations

  • competencies in community work, communication, teamwork, and is committed to social justice.
  • Familiarity with fundraising, grant-making, reporting and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, towards the comprehensive maintenance of a grant file library.
  • Understanding of the organization, dedication to restorative justice, and a sincere belief that people have the capacity to resolve their own conflicts
  • Ability to not take people’s conflicts and emotions personally
  • Desire to promote the work of RRB whenever possible
  • Ability to effectively represent the organization and its programs
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to culturally diverse populations
  • Ability to perform other related duties incidental to the work described above and duties identified by the Operations Director
