The Manager, In-Person Programs is responsible to develop, coordinate and support marketing and promotion for PMD Alliance in-person programs including facilitation, coordination, planning, infrastructure and stewardship.  As the front-facing person for these programs, this role requires a belief in PMD Alliance philosophy and alignment with PMD Alliance commitment to generating resilience, enhancing self-advocacy and creating community.

Duties specific to the Manager, In-Person Program role:

·       Primary facilitator for non-care partner in-person programs 

·       Primary facilitator for people with Parkinson’s side of Renew! Retreats in-person program 

·       Assist in facilitating other programs as needed online and in person 

·       Work in partnership with VP, Programs to develop dynamic agendas that ensure opportunities to learn, improve life skills and build connections. 

·       Work with VP, Programs to design new in-person programs  

·       Coordinate staff facilitators for in-person program with VP Programs 

·       Manage outlook calendar for programs 

·       Send pre- and post-event surveys for applicable programs 

·       Analyze data received in pre- and post-surveys to ensure thorough preparation before a program and identifying opportunities for improvement in programs 

·       Maintain an up-to-date program logistics document at all times (Working Document) 

·       Ensure VP, Programs receives portfolio in efficient manner 

·       Review venue contracts for in-person programs to ensure high quality experience for all attendees and speakers 

·       Create and distribute facilitator cheat sheet/travel prep documents 

·       Ensure all speakers are fully informed in a timely manner of all details of the program, logistics, agenda, topics, arrival time, etc. 

·       Secure and confirm all speakers for events.  

·       Create events in Blackthorn and on website 

·       Communicate with local representatives to ensure they are fully informed about in-person events (time, location, arrival, their role) and secure their assistance in event promotion 

·       Recruit, organize and communicate with Renew! Retreat and other program volunteers 

·       Provide speaker and local sponsors emailed thank you notes within 24 hour of events 

·       Ensure a thoughtful post- event debrief and communicate learnings to team 

·       Coordinate sponsors for live programs

·       Liaise with Manager of In-Sync Network and Manager of Family and Companion Network to assist in delivery of program-specific workshops

·       Ensure seamless communication for sponsors and stewardship

·       Ensure sponsors have access to recent flyers

·       Secure volunteers for programs as needed

·       Communicate with attendees and speakers about logistics and details for all live programs

·       Process all evaluations and compile an evaluation summary for each program to facilitate organizational learning

·       Travel 25-30% expected as deemed safe

Minimal Requirements:

·       Bachelors required, masters preferred

·       Experience in developing programs, building systems and for effective communication and efficiency.

·       Skilled facilitator able to generate and sustain energy in a room while presenting and facilitating

·       Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet-based program utilization

·       Ability to multitask; comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

·       Exceptional customer service

·       Self-directed, able to complete tasks with minimal direction

·       Demonstrated track record of being a strong team player

·       Exceptional integrity and follow through

·       Strong organizational skills

·       Ability to office at home; comfortable with telecommunication/teleconferencing

·       Residence proximate to the greater Phoenix metro area

·       Able to travel; 30% overnight travel required
