Daily management to the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) programs, which consist of in-home therapy (IHT) and therapeutic mentoring (TM), as well as the DMH clinical flex services. The Program Manager/Coordinator will provide supervision to the staff, including oversight of client cases. The Program Manager/Coordinator will oversee the productivity and performance of staff, as well as be a resource and point of contact in crisis situations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities


  • Provide weekly supervision of staff, including clinical and administrative feedback/recommendations
  • Manage referrals, intakes, waiting list and clinician assignments
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and compliant clinical charts and follow up on all clinical documentation timelines and requirements
  • Ensure services are provided in a professional, trauma-informed, and strengths-based manner
  • Ensure that all staff are meeting these requirements; report follow-up and action steps for staff not meeting required productivity goals
  • Identify and provide relevant and required clinical trainings for all IHT/TM staff
  • Attend meetings with staff regarding clients when necessary, including occasional evening appointments and attending sessions
  • Ensure safety protocols for clinicians and clients for community and home visits
  • Be familiar with all clients receiving these services and track all clients receiving services
  • Follow all agency safety protocols
  • Ensure that the IHT Practice Profile is being implemented
  • Travel without restriction to children’s homes and throughout the community
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a car, as well as the ability to operate a motor vehicle safely


  • Participate in the hiring, orientation, ongoing training, supervision, regular evaluation, and discipline of IHT/TM staff
  • Participate in recruitment of personnel

External Relations/Program Development

  • Meet regularly with contracting agencies and ensure that policies and procedures are being followed; stay informed regarding updates and changes to regulatory requirements; respond to items found during chart audits
  • Attend external CBHI/DMH meetings
  • Develop partnerships and relationships with other agencies


  • Independent Massachusetts State license (LICSW or LMHC)
  • 3 years post independent licensure preferred
  • 3-4 years of experience working with children and families; experience providing treatment to children with social, emotional, and trauma concerns as well as mental health and developmental disorders
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in the supervision of multidisciplinary staff with the ability to provide critical feedback and take initiative
  • Experience with and knowledge of CBHI preferred
  • Demonstrated history of program development
  • Exposure to or practice of strengths-based and trauma-informed care strongly preferred
  • Experience with creating and/or managing budgets preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to model, teach, and support; Strong motivational and interpersonal skills
  • Sound clinical judgment; Creative, thoughtful, and able to make informed decisions quickly during a crisis
  • Demonstrated proficiency in family and individual therapy required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential in conjunction with computer literacy
  • Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task and prioritize, able to meet deadlines
  • Strong and demonstrated motivational and leadership skills, including ability to orient and train
  • Must be receptive and responsive to supervision and professional development
  • Ability to respond to emergencies quickly and safely
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality with respect to agency, employee and client information; adhere to all HIPPA guidelines and regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
