Description

Position Summary: The Fundraising Digital and Social Media Specialist will develop and execute digital marketing strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and donations for our organization. This role requires a creative thinker who can create compelling content, manage our online presence, and drive successful fundraising campaigns through various digital channels, including social media and email.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketing and fundraising strategy to support our fundraising goals and organizational mission.
  • Manage and grow our social media presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Create and curate engaging content, including posts, images, videos, and stories, to share across social media channels.
  • Plan and execute digital fundraising campaigns, including email marketing, social media drives, crowdfunding, and other innovative ideas.
  • Monitor and analyze social media and website metrics to track the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the board and team to develop and promote online donation initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends and best practices to ensure our strategies are innovative and effective.
  • Engage with our online community by promptly responding to comments, messages, and inquiries.
  • Create and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent and strategic posting schedule.
  • Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and grantee organizations to produce high-quality content.
  • Support the development of digital advertising campaigns (e.g., Google AdWords, Facebook Ads) to expand our reach and increase donations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media management, or a similar role, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
  • Proven experience with fundraising campaigns and online donation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and messages.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for animal welfare and a commitment to our mission.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Knowledge of SEO and SEM practices.
  • Familiarity with marketing platforms (e.g., Wix or similar).
  • Raiser's Edge/ RENXT software .
