The Center for Court Innovation is a non-profit organization that works to create a more effective and humane justice system by performing original research and helping launch reforms by guiding justice innovators, nationally and internationally. The Center creates operating projects that have been documented to reduce the use of jail and prison, assist victims of crime, and strengthen communities.

The Center's Technology Support and Strategy Department supports technology needs across our rapidly growing organization of over 600 staff working on geographically and technologically diverse projects. While much of our infrastructure is hosted and maintained in partnership with New York State's Office of Court Administration, we support our staff in its software and hardware needs and own and manage Google Suite and other systems, all while being thought leaders and innovators in using technology in criminal justice reform. 

The Center's Technology Support & Strategy Department is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our team in our Midtown Manhattan office. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the department in all processes, emphasizing purchasing coordination and inventory tracking. This position requires a technically savvy individual who is exceptionally well organized and adept at communicating both verbally and in writing with stakeholders across the organization. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate hardware and software ordering process and organize an inventory of assets, including software licenses and leases;
  • Manage Purchase Order creation, tracking and payments, and technical supplies for the department;
  • Coordinate contracts with vendors and suppliers, including managing the invoicing, and payment processes;
  • Arrange and prepare equipment for shipping/receiving and distribution accurately and promptly;
  • Provide project coordination assistance with special projects and perform other administrative or office duties or projects as required or as assigned;
  • Additional relevant tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of relevant professional experience;
  • Familiar with IT terms and specifications such as hardware specs, Internet lines, etc.;
  • The ideal candidate is a high-energy individual with excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal communications;
  • Demonstrated high levels of proficiency with Microsoft Office365; advanced Excel skills are preferred;
  • Highly organized with the ability to adhere to defined processes and procedures and suggest improvements;
  • Experience in managing purchase order creation, tracking, and payments is preferred;
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to changing project priorities, work assignments, and deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team.

Salary

Salary range starts at $50,000 and is commensurate with experience.
