The GBS | CIDP Foundation International, a non-profit organization, is seeking a self-starting professional to provide patient service and administrative support. The Foundation is a non-profit entity providing support, education, research, and advocacy for patients, families, and caregivers who have GBS, CIDP, or related variants such as MMN. This full-time position is available starting April 2021.
This position is an important part of our mission to offer exceptional patient support and services and will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the information requested from patient inquiries via telephone and email, while working closely with the Member Services Manager. The Patient Service Coordinator will answer incoming phone calls and database inquiries, relay accurate messages to proper team members and distribute Foundation literature to requested parties. This position will report and monitor patient data in our Salesforce database and will also assist the database coordinator with maintaining data records.
Administrative duties include maintenance and use of office equipment and telephones, ordering office supplies, posting mail and sending packages. Maintaining a log and inventory of all Foundation literature and promotional materials is also required. This position will provide assistance with special projects as needed to the office team.
We are looking for someone with a great attitude, an interest in non-profit work and helping those in need, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic. The ability to maintain good communication and working relationships with staff, patients, and liaisons is a key priority.
Job Qualifications:
· Practices good judgement, discretion and confidentiality of sensitive information
· Strong written and verbal communication, good phone manner and interpersonal skills
· Have a strong attention to detail
· Flexibility to support special projects as assigned
· The ability to prioritize assignments and ability to meet deadlines
· Keen sense of organization, creative problem solving and excellent multi- tasking
· High proficiency with Microsoft Office is crucial
· Know how to organize files, documents, correspondence and contact lists
· A background in social services or patient services a plus, but not required
